Start Every Morning with Hot Lemon Water - Do it!
If you do nothing else – you should start your day with a mug of hot water and lemon. Seriously. The best thing you can do for your body in the morning is ease it into the day and kick-start digestion.
Water and lemons on their own have tons of health benefits like hydrating the body and boosting the immune system - but the specific benefit of the hot lemon water is elimination.
It removes mucus buildup
It flushes your liver to remove toxins and excess hormones
It gently stimulates your intestines to eliminate the waste that accumulated from the day before and your body’s nighttime cleansing session. {You won’t be running to the bathroom, but should end up there within an hour of drinking your lemon water!}
Obviously, this is not very difficult to prepare. Just warm up a mug of filtered water and squeeze in half of a lemon. Make sure you can hold the mug in your hands before you add the lemon – if the water is too warm, you’ll kill all the good stuff the lemon has to offer. For additional cleansing – you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a teaspoon of raw apple cider vinegar.
