How I choose my Supplements
If you’ve been following my journey, you know that a huge part of my life is nutrition and wellness. Having focused on a mostly plant-based diet for almost a decade, I constantly find myself re-evaluating and assessing how I am getting the key nutrients my body needs to thrive. As I’ve shared before, keeping up with my crew is a full time job, so I make it a priority to find easy and efficient ways to nourish my body. I am always re-evaluating the multivitamins and supplements I am taking, and have some tips for what I look for!
Why We Have a No-Shoes-in-The-House Policy
We all have our big “no-nos” and rules in our homes, but one major rule that most people think I am crazy for is absolutely no shoes inside of the house. Anyone who comes into our home has to wear socks or go barefoot, or wear booties which we keep in supply LOL. Beyond being crazy, which I am, here are my reasons why!

HOW to "INDULGE" (aka treat yourself)
The lesson here is as follows: indulging is OKAY, when it comes from the RIGHT PLACE.
Sneaky Sugar
There are plenty of seemingly healthy foods that PACK in the sugar. I chose 6 of what I see the most when I meet with clients. I literally cannot imagine eating 4 or even 2 teaspoons of straight sugar, can you?

5 swaps for a fresh start in 2015
New year – time to start fresh! But where to start? I’m sure you are being pressured by plenty of TV ads telling you which way to go, and it can all get very confusing, very fast. Here are my top 5 swaps for a good, clean start to 2015.
Skinny does not equal healthy
Your #1 goal is to improve your digestion. By improving your digestion - you will improve EVERYTHING including weight. Often weight loss is just one of the bonuses, coming second to that feeling of "wow, I don't feel sh*&ty every time I eat something".
Help! Holiday Binging
Have a little too much pumpkin pie last week? Worried about Christmas cookies and lots of big holiday meals? Follow these tips.
Travel Snacking
Part of traveling for me is SNACK PREP. I am always wondering where my next meal or snack is going to come from - and it sure isn't going to come from those gross packaged meals they serve on the airplane. Is that even real chicken? Definitely not.
Making Fettuccine Alfredo without Cheese….whaaat?
Believe it or not, you can make almost any dish without dairy. I don’t cut anything completely out of my diet, but I very rarely eat dairy for many reasons. The two biggest reasons are that it is hard to digest, and it is really….....just, dirty (antibiotics, hormones, puss, EW).
Bag Your Shoes
Few things gross me out more than when I see shoes inside someone’s purse. Shoes protect your feet from the dirt, germs, dog pee and other nasty things on the ground. Why oh why would you want to then put those dirty soles into your clean handbag? Convenience – sure - but there is a SUPER easy solution to this terrible problem!
Why you should eat light to heavy
Eating light to heavy goes against everything you’ve ever read in fitness magazines, I know. When I tell clients to have their lightest meals early in the day, and heaviest meal at dinner – I almost always have a look of disbelief.
Oil Pulling :: Trendy or Legit?
Though it may seem new and trendy, oil pulling isn’t a new thing! In fact, it started in India thousands of years ago and was introduced to the US in the ’90s. We are starting to hear more about these old practices now because there is a greater desire to live a more holistic life. My vote = legit.
